Audio Sprockets Tonedexter
Sunday 19 January 2020
The Tonedexter from Audiosprockets is THE game changer in the field of acoustic IR.
After Fishman, few other fixed IR pedal were released (D-tar Mama Bear, Xvive Mike, BOSS AD-2, Hotone Omni-AC...) but nothing was made to "Make your own IR".
The Tonedexter is a similar concept as The Kemper Profiler. It enables to "capture" your guitar IR with a very efficient algorithm.
A patent n° US9583088B1 was deposed in 2014. It is called:
"Frequency domain training to compensate acoustic instrument pickup signals"

Doug Young’s demo speak for themselves (Note that the firmware update improved the high end: it sounds even better now!)
This is a acoustic IR self-learning pedal: You can capture your own guitar IR with it!
PS: If you want to extract your IRs from Tonedexter in a non proprietary format (ex: wav) download the document and read.
